Description: Resting on the south shore at the Warwick-Paget Parish boundary line, the Surf Side Beach Club is located 12 miles from Bermuda International Airport. The hotel is a 15-minute drive from Hamilton and 30 minutes from the airport. The Island's public bus system stops at Surf Side's main entrance and taxis are readily available. Nature lovers can enjoy the hiking trail, which starts at Surf Side's eastern boundary and meanders through scenic open space along the top of the cliff to the Coral Beach Club. For walkers and joggers, the Railway Trail lies only a few minutes up Cobb's Hill Road.
The heart of the complex, the outdoor pool, with its spacious sundeck, bar and restaurant lies at about 90 feet above sea level. Pathways and stairs, bordered by flowerbeds, hibiscus and oleander, lead to the guestrooms 65 feet above sea level and onwards to the private beach. From lookout points in the garden, guests can see fish swimming in the distance in the shallow sea. Moonlight, stars, soft tropical breezes and the scent of garden flowers complement the dining experience in the Palms Restaurant and Bar.

The Surf Side features 43 guestrooms arranged in a semi-circle on 4.5 acres of dramatically landscaped oceanfront property. Guestrooms are decorated in bright, sunny colors and have fully-equipped kitchenettes. Each unit has a balcony or natural grass terrace and faces either south towards the ocean or west down the coastline, so guests can enjoy the soothing sounds of the ocean and surf.

 This was one of the poorest hotels I have stayed in, was quite disappointed. For the price we paid, it had extremely poor value. The only good thing about it was the view and the restaurant.The hotel service and staff was poor (refused to give us more than one shampoo a day); very run down room, water sewage problem over the weekend and they informed us at the end of the weekend. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. I'd never stay there again, plenty of other v. nice hotels in Bermuda

 Date of Stay: November, 2006
 There was loud construction noise starting early in the morning and lasting until late at night on the east side of the resort. We were not told of this construction or we would not have booked this resort. There was no beach, only cliffs and rocks. The front office ran out of day bus passes so we had to get a token into the Hamilton bus terminal to procure a pass. Food was excellent, service was excellent.

 Quiet and peaceful accommodations with a lot of privacy and great views of the ocean. Enjoyed sounds of the waves and tree frogs. Rooms were clean and kitchenette was well stocked. Grocery store was only a few minutes away by bus as were some of the major south shore beaches. If you are adventurous, like to create you own fun, and be in control of your meals, Surf Side is quite well situated. There is a nice small, quiet beach where we enjoyed walks, a picnic and some swimming. However, for swimming, we preferred Horseshoe Bay and the neighboring beaches.

 The management staff and reception were rude and did not provide adequate assistance. Upon arrival, I was told they had no room available, eventhough I had fully paid for a suite prior to arrival. They initially did not assist with other arrangements, and I literally walked the streets to find another hotel to stay at. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for a relaxing time!

 SURFSIDE WAS LOCATED IN THE MIDDLE OF BERMUDA ON THE OCEAN. THE STAFF OF THE HOTEL WERE GRACIOUS AND VERY FRIENDLY . MY COTTAGE WAS VERY CLEAN. THE RESTAURANT WAS EXCELLENT. THE VIEW WAS SPECTACULAR. I LOVED EVERYTHING AND I WILL BE GOING BACK. MY SISTER AND HER HUSBAND WANTS TO GO THERE ALSO.
